The Giants acquired the 19th pick along with a 2nd round pick in 2011 by sending their first pick, 13th overall to the Tri-City Americans.

Ast, born February 11/95 , Giants Director of player personnel Jason Ripplinger says “Anthony is a goal scorer who doesn’t mind paying the price to get those goals, he plays well in traffic, he is a skilled player with good speed, he blocks shots and is a good character player who is difficult to play against”
