2007 VGHQ Pool Rules

Each person controls one team, and each team has 6 players: 3 forwards + 2 defensemen + 1 goalie.

Players are picked via a snake draft, and they must play in the WHL obviously.

Points System

Forwards
Goals: 2 points
Assists: 1 point
+/-: +/- .5 points

Defensemen
Goals: 3 points
Assists: 1 point
+/-: +/- .5 points

Goalies
Wins: 2 points
Shutouts: 5 points

How does it work?

Similar to Yahoo pools, head to head matchups (except you don't have to update anything here). Depending on the nubmer of teams I'll make a schedule. At the end of the week each team with the must points in its matchup wins 3 points, ties = 1 point per team.

Trades are allowed.

Pool will include what is left of the regular season + WHL playoffs.

So if you're interested join by posting here. If and when we have enough teams, we'll start the draft and I'll post the schedule.

well someone has to finish last, so count me in.

Alright, four teams already, I'd say that's the minimum we need for this to work. I'll leave this thread open a few more days though to (hopefully) get a few more teams. Ideally I would like 6-10 (hopefully an even number so we don't have to schedule byes).

Ok well, seven. I rather we had an even number of teams, but I guess this will work. Besides, considering we should be doing this on September rather than January...I guess the first VGHQ pool will at least work as a beta for next season's.

I'll post the draft order a little later...and unfortunately Don is in Mexico right now, so I don't know how we are going to proceed without him (not like he's important ). I'll keep you guys informed, thank you for joining!
